The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed in regards to the superior quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular sassa status check basis. The services level developed for intervention encounters a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all customers and enhance access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
